Beautiful, Collectable Couture!
Details:
Made in France.
Approx. size: 2.75" x 2.25" long (fits in her palm and a small purse).
Allover metal with gilt plating -- no flimsy compact this.
The lid is inset with a massive, heart-shaped, faceted crystal emerald. (I believe it's
a Swarovski crystal.)
Not only is YSL's heart-shaped jeweled compact very hard to find, the emerald jewel is the rarest of all.
The powder is very fine-milled, a pale shade for light complexions. Coverage is somewhere between transparent and light. (There's no classier way to take the shine off your face.)
The compact is mirrored, w
ith heart-shaped YSL powderpuff (still fluffy) and protective plastic insert.
Coffret-style box is golden, with black resin bottom and doeskin resting platform.
No carrying case was included with this
compact.

The box and compact were opened once, only for the listing photos you see.
In checking the item I clumsily nicked the powder, very shallowly, about 1/16", in the top left area. Please see next-to-last photo. After doing this, I lowered my asking price.  :\ The nick will come out as soon as the powder is used.
In addition, the gilt metal that surrounds the emerald has a couple of very tiny raised dots from bubbles that occurred during the plating process. You may be able to see a tiny dot in the horizontal photo (third-to-last). These dots are
normal for this kind of plated metal and quite
inconspicuous. The compact is gorgeous.
