Description

This is an amazing historic resource and an invaluable reference tool for the gunsmith, firearms historian, World War II re-enactor, British firearms enthusiast! This auction is for one LARGE format 24 x 36 engineering print copy of an ordnance armorer's drawing for the legendary Webley .455 caliber revolver. It covers the Mk. III, IV, V, and VI models. This is a copy of an official drawing for armorers covering all standard replacement parts for the gun. All the parts are illustrated at approximately full size, although there is no scaling information on the drawing. There is a cutaway view and depiction of the 6-inch and 4-inch barrels and the different stock shapes for the different models. Key replacement parts such as springs, pins and screws are fully dimensioned. There is text information about differences between the models. The drawing is marked “Dept. of National Defence” and “M.G.O. Branch D. of M.M.” It is dated January 20, 1943. The (low resolution) pictures included with this listing show only a portion of the full drawing, which is so detailed and fascinating that you could study it for hours. You might even consider framing it as a unique wall decoration. These are professionally reproduced on a large format engineering graphics machine to be clear and readable throughout. The print is shipped rolled in a protective cardboard tube to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
NOTE TO EBAY: This listing conforms to all eBay rules. This is not a gun. These are only copies of historic documents. There are no gun parts for sale here.
