Description
From the estate of retired Lt. Col. Francis Conway comes this vintage and original Vietnam era photograph of class members from the 23rd Infantry Division Sniper School. Eleven of them with the name, or nickname written next to them. The photo measures roughly 13-1/4" x 10-1/2". Also included are the shooting patches shown and won by Lt. Colonel Conway to include: 1959 South Atlantic Regional Championships NRA Pistol, Fort Benning, GA, US Army VII Corps Rifle & Pistol Team, 1952 National Rifle Championships, High Power, Fort Benning, GA, 1955 US Army Rifle Team, US Army Team and 1959 US Army Rifle Team. On an interesting side note. Lt. Col. Conway is known to be the 'Father' of the XM-21 sniper rifle.
