”. ORIGINALLY ISSUED BY THE BELGIAN ARMY UNDER BRITISH LICENSE (BRITISH HAD SAME STYLE FOR IT’S MILITARY) FOR SERVICE DATED 1951 A.B.L. (BELGIAN ARMY) MFR. BY LIBERT (CONTRACTOR). IT HAS A HIGH CARBON STEEL BLADE THAT TAKES AN EDGE VERY EASILY WITH A STONE AND KEEPS IT LONGER THAN MOST
KNIVES I OWNED. THIS ONE HAS NEVER BEEN RESHARPENED AND STILL RETAINS IT

S ORIGINAL EDGE, SOME VERY MODERATE PITTING IS EVIDENT ON BOTH OF THE BLADES DUE TO ITS AGE. OVERALL IN EXCELLENT HARDLY USED CONDITION FOR 70 YEARS OLD. EVERYTHING TIGHT WITH NOTHING LOOSE BUT OPENS WITH RELATIVE EASE UNLIKE SOME OF THE NAIL BREAKERS THESE ARE KNOWN FOR. HAS BOTH A BOTTLE OPENER AND CAN OPENER WITH SCREW DRIVER BLADE ALONG WITH THE MAIN BLADE. ALSO ONE VERY SINISTER LOOKING MARLIN SPIKE THAT LOCKS IN THE STRAIGHT POSITION AND ALSO TIGHT IN THE 45 DEGREE POSITION. OVERALL LENGTH WITH BLADE EXTENDED INCLUDING LANYARD LOOP ABOUT 6 3/4 IN. LONG, WITH MARLIN SPIKE AND BLADE FULLY EXTENDED 8 3/4 INCHES LONG. CLOSED ABOUT 4 3/8 INCHES INCLUDING LANYARD LOOP. ALTHOUGH 100% ORIGINAL THIS ONE CLEANED UP VERY NICELY THEN WAS DETAILED, POLISHED AND LUBRICATED. COMES WITH NYLON SHEATH WHICH IS NOT ORIGINAL BUT PERFECT WAY TO HOUSE THIS INTERESTING AND VERY FUNCTIONAL COLLECTABLE.
