The broach on the back has some corrosion at one side (see picture). The medal body is OK. It has some tarnish on the front and a few scratches on the back.

    US Sterling Named Double Ring Loop Suspension ROTC Efficiency Medal dated 1957 with an Eagle at the top
    -->  This is a sterling ROTC Efficiency medal with an eagle on the top.  It's engraved on the back, and reads, "Norman L. Chilson - For Contribution to the Corps - 1957."  The bottom is marked with the maker's name, "NM Schridge Co. Chicago, Sterling."  The medal has a double ring loop suspension, and an old style clasp at the top with a hinged pin and a "J" hook. The medal body measures 1 & 1/2 inches tall (not including loop), and 1 & 3/16 inches wide at the widest part.
