Description
Offered is a vintage photograph of a captain in the United States Army. We aren't sure of the date of this, based on the straight-shaft / candlestick telephone on the desk, we are thinking maybe the 1920's? Could be earlier perhaps, even World War I? His coat is hanging up to the side, it looks like West Point coats we've seen in photos. The man could possibly be Henry James Mitchell, Sr. of Cohoes, New York. We have assorted photos from the family and Sr. was a doctor at Cohoes Hospital, as was his son Jr. But Jr. would have been too young to be the soldier in the photo. Of course, it might be someone else, but it was with the family photos. In black and white / sepia, the photo measures approximately 6 x 8 inches, it is in very good gently used condition with a crease at the top right corner and a small tear along the right edge.PLEASE NOTE: The photo shown has drops of water on it - it is an effect that we put on when we scanned the photo, to avoid unauthorized duplication. The photo you receive will not have the water drops when you receive it.
