This is an ORIGINAL and MINT condition example of the increasingly rare carrying case for the famous "Chicago Typewriter", which should be recognizable from its shape (If you don't know what I'm alluding to, please e-mail me), as utilized in the various models of the half track and tanks during WWII.  I purchased this beautiful NOS case at the late, great Manion's International Auction on June 9, 1990.  The tag on the twine securing the Kraft paper wrapper for the case states that it was "G147 Half Track Spare Parts" with the stamped nomenclature. The case is in beautiful UNISSUED condition, just as I bought it 28 years ago!
The case has three female "durable Dot" snaps on leather "hinges" for attachment to the male snaps inside the half track's armored sides.  It has a full-length zippered compartment for the TSMG.  The zipper is of the "heavy duty" type and is completely functional.  The canvas material is in MINT original condition without any blemishes, dry rot or any other defects.  It still has that great "surplus store" odor in the canvas that I remember from my youth!
This is an excellent opportunity for the advanced half track owner or TSMG collector to obtain an increasingly rare piece of gear in MINT condition for the half track or his collection.   Although I am confident that the purchaser will be well-pleased with the holster, the buyer will nonetheless have my unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day (
