*I had FUN creating this combo thinking of how many times I’ve been
asked what to put together for a great Snowman Rug or Applique project!
The (top three pieces) in this bundle would work wonderfully for
Frosty the Snow-Guy for his brightest white snowball at the top, the
Creamy/Natural shade for his mid-section & the Cream & Gray piece for his
shadows at the bottom snowball base!
I added in a perfect & (hard to find)
Soft Gray & Lt. Sky Blue Plaid that could work nicely for his Scarf; the
Sparkly
rich Dark Blue & Black tiny Plaid for Twinkling Stars in a
Night-time
sky
(or if hooked) a rich & sparkly Night-time Sky
behind
Frosty!
And of course,
Frosty would not be complete without his Charcoal Eyes, Nose & Mouth ~ even
his Top Hat made out of this Solid Black as Night Black …now he’s complete!
This combo is also a “nice compliment” to my {By the Light ‘O the Moon}

The wool is from some of the finest overseas suppliers in the wool mill industry.
These wools are suitable for primitive rug hooking and wool appliqué work.
You will have 4, 5, 6, 7

8 pieces of "complementary textures"

TEXTURES ADD additional depth & interest to any wool project.
They are often used for “outlining” in Primitive rugs!
I purchase only the finest 100% Textured wools that will complement my own hand-dyed woolens.
The textures will range from nice multi-color threaded plaids, windowpane plaids, hounds-tooth checks, herringbone chevron textures, cat-eye patterns, honeycomb patterns, etc.
Many of these same “as-is” textures are used in my over-dyeing process as well.
They are pre-washed and fully felted and ready to use in your rug hooking or wool appliqué projects.
You can use either side of these wools!
For rug hooking, it is most often recommended that you use a “wider cut” with a texture
as many (not all) can have a looser weave and may be a little more challenging to work with.
If using “looser woven” wool for appliqué work
, you may want to iron your wool to a
thin adhesive
such as
Heat ‘N Bond {Feather Lite}
which will cut down on fraying along the edges of your wool.

What this means is that

I cannot guarantee I can replace your entire order, but will do the best I can.

If you are
new
to rug hooking and have
no other
resources available, I’d be happy to cut your wool into strips on your FIRST ORDER, a
maximum
of (4 bundles or 1 yard equivalent).
However, I would be most appreciative if you would seek out your local resources for cutting (i.e. ~ friend, neighbor, guild or shop) and
use me as your last resort
so I may have the time to dye more wonderful shades of wool for your future projects!
I can cut your wool into #6 (6/32”), #8 (1/4”), or #9 (3/8”) cut strips.

Some, but not all of the “photo samples of rugs” displayed here are projects hooked by me & they are shown merely to demonstrate how my wool can be used in a rug project.

Please understand that computer monitors vary and the color representation you see may differ slightly from the original.
In most cases, the colors in your wool will be much more pleasing in person than what you see in the photo.
