Germany Third Reich Era Adolf Hitler Wood Mounted Aluminum Bust Plaque 13" Tall

Mounted on a wood base which is about 8 5/8" x 13" is an aluminum cast Hitler bust itself about 9"tall. The bust is in Very Good condition mostly with tarnish, a few light nicks or scratches. Secured through the back with standard nuts and should be easy to remove and thoroughly clean and polish if you like. Wood itself is black stained and around the perimeter is a border of small wood dots. For some reason there are small sections of these dots gone at top left and right, and bottom left. These also would not be difficult to replace but all told I don't know that I would mess with it. (On the other hand, if you did happen to clean with an appropriate agent, would probably look pretty sharp.)
This design and casting was very popular in German during the time and probably on most blocks you would have found a house with some version of it. They came mounted on all manner of shields and plaques; this is on one of the comparatively larger wood bases that I have seen. I believe given the size and the metal this one is an older one from the thirties. I don't know when they made the last one but later examples were of cheaper and less attractive metal. Popular as these were there were still only so many of them to start with and they are getting harder to find. As an investment you can't go wrong here.
