    Description

    A nice air mail cover from the Historical Society of Afghanistan in Kabul addressed to The Aitkin-Kynett Co, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Franked with a vertical pair of Afghanistan Scott #C38, the 5 afghani Plane over Palace Grounds air mail stamp from 1962. The stamps are tied to the reverse of the cover by a Kaboul postmark that appears to be dated April 15, 1962. There is a Philadelphia, PA. postmark dated April 18, 1962 and a Philadelphia, PA. William Penn Annex postmark dated April 18, 1962. This cover measures 165mm x 92mm. See scans for condition.
