1885 Spectacular Chromo Lithography Large Original Ticket ‘The One & Only’

Over the many years of collecting items at the peak of the ‘Color Explosion’, in the U S, I have
never seen a finer ticket. The condition is truly near gem. The 3 corners have a bit of rub. But
that is the extent of the wear points. The original stub hinge is a bit weak but is attached. It would
really be difficult to know if another exists. It may be a file copy example as it is date stamped
by the “Prospect” on the reverse, which was where this event was held. I purchased the
ticket at an antique show from at least 25 years ago. This is a large ticket at 8 3/4 by 4 3/4
inches in size. It’s been a centerpiece of some of the seed catalogs and other Victorian era
ephemera I have collected over many decades. Such an impressive ticket!
