    Description

    This set is from a 1st lieutenant assigned to the 13th Cavalry Regiment (Mechanized), 7th Cavalry Brigade (Mechanized).  The set consists of M1926 Officer's Service Coat, Shirt, Tie, Visor Cap, Breeches, Sam-Browne Belt, Boots and Spurs. Excellent Condition M1926 Officer's Service coat with Screw Back 13th Cavalry Regiment D.U.I.'s on each shoulder.  Pin Back 1lt Bars on each shoulder. Screw Back U.S. pins on each lapel.  Early Clutch Back 13th Cavalry Pins on each lapel.  Beautiful 7th Cavalry Brigade Felt Patch  (hand sewn on left shoulder (
    loose on left side) - brass belt hooks on each side of coat for Sam Browne Belt. Custom made by "Rosenfelds Cloth Shop".  Size 36R and Named.  Shows light use.  Nice 1930's Officer's Service Shirt Made by "John Sideritz" - has moth damage on collar and some moth bites - shows use, includes black tie. Officer's Service visor cap in size 7 - Very good Condition.  Excellent Officer's Breeches with belt - waist size 30 - one moth bite - looks unused.  Very nice Sam Browne Belt,  Nice ridding Boots with Spurs - shows light use.
    The 13th Cavalry Regiment (Horse) was assigned to the 7th Cavalry Brigade (Mechanized) in 1936 and was the 3rd Cavalry Regiment to be converted to an Armor Regiment and was stationed at Fort Knox. In 1940 the 7th Cavalry Brigade (Mechanized) became the 1st Armored Division.
